Skype also allows you to instant message, voice and video call anyone else on Skype for free.

WhatsApp

WhatsApp also saves you money when traveling internationally. It is a cross-platform smartphone messenger that utilizes push notifications to instantly receive messages. Since WhatsApp works with your phone number through either Wi-Fi or 3G there is no need for extra PINs or usernames; it works just like an SMS and allows you to exchange messages, pictures, audio notes and video messages with WhatsApp users for free.

Trivago takes it a step further by allowing you to refine your search results with a preference filter. Choose what amenities you’d like from Wi-Fi to traveling with pets.
